Hola! My name is Evelia (she/her/Ella), and I am a bilingual first-generation Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University in NYC and my B.A. in Social Work from San Francisco State University. As a biracial, bicultural woman of color born and raised in the Bay Area, I bring a unique perspective shaped by my experiences as the daughter of immigrants.
I primarily support BIPOC and Latinx individuals who face challenges such as perfectionism and imposter syndrome. I approach our work together through an anti-racist lens, recognizing and inviting discussions around issues that affect us both personally and collectively. I encourage us to explore past experiences and the cultural and family stories that have shaped who we are. My approach incorporates feminist psychology, anti-racist interventions, and trauma-informed coping strategies.
Therapy is a supportive space for uncovering barriers that may hinder your relationships with yourself and others. By understanding your inner thoughts and emotions, you can empower yourself to make healthy choices, embrace love, and lead a more fulfilling life. I specialize in guiding clients through the impact of trauma, helping them recognize how their experiences shape their perceptions and connections. Together, we will explore the role of your past, cultural influences, and family narratives in shaping your self-view and relationships.
I look forward to supporting you on your journey.
